Ghost producers have been around since the beginning of dance music. No different to ghost writers in hip hop, or pop music. I will say though, that I did a studio session with a relatively big trance producer in 2006, who the first to inform me about ghost producers and I honestly couldn't believe that's how it worked. Dimitri vegas and like mike had asked me over 10 years ago to start producing on their behalf so was weird being offered a gig like that. I was moving away from music at the time so it didn't work out but I do wish I had taken a stab at it.
